Our family went on vacation recently and one of my favorite things to do to pass the time when traveling is listening to podcasts and reading books. One of the podcasts I listened to on my recent vacation was NPR’s “How I Built This” series with special guest Blake Mycoskie of Toms Shoes.

It was a great episode and if you know anything about Toms, it’s that they give back a ton to those in need. The Mountain Coast Group prides itself in giving back as well and I wanted to talk about a few of the ways we are doing that.

One way is by taking a portion of each of our commission checks and donating it back to the community. We work hard to earn those checks, and it only seems right to give a portion of it back to the local community. It is one of our core values, after all.

We take pride in giving back to our community.

Just in the last year, our team has served at the local soup kitchen, raised funds and supplies for the local humane society, and we are currently in the process of starting a backpack program to help provide school supplies to children who can’t afford them when it’s time to go back to school.

We hope to one day make as big of an impact globally as Toms does, but for now, we are content with giving back to those in our community who have trusted us with their business. Hopefully we will be able to give back more and more each year as we continue to grow.

If you have any questions for us or are looking to buy or sell a home, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We would love to hear from you.
